Dream
After graduating from College, I got a job at the subsidiary of JG Summit Philippines, Robina Corporation. I worked as the Marketing Assistant for about half a year, while working I tried to earn my Masters degree at the Asian Institute of Management, half the way I replaced my boss as the new Marketing Girl. After graduation from AIM I got promoted as Senior Manager for Marketing. I was in charge the for Marketing strategies for the whole JC Summit Philippines. After another year I got an offer from AIG, the 3rd biggest Multi National Company in the world based on Fortune Magazine. Their offer was thrice my current salary, so right there and then I grabbed the opportunity. I was asked to report to their head office at New York City, USA. After meeting the top executives, I was assigned as Marketing Manager for Las Vegas branch. After years of hard work at the states, I finally had time to go back to Philippines.
When I was in College I was the typical Not-So-Popular but “it” girl of the society. Ha! Tell me about the latest fashion and I’ll blurt it all out like a fashion guru.
My mom told me that during my early childhood stage, I was already displaying signs of being a fashionable girl.
During my second b-day, I was the one who picked up the attire I wore. If I can remember it correctly, I chose the pink straight cut pants and the shirt that has pink and white horizontal stripes. Good thing I know what color combination means early back then.
I was enamored with little dresses – balloon types and those with ruffles. People used to laugh at me because they say how on earth do my mom dresses me up. I’ll say “No, mom don’t dress me up. I do” I say it with confidence and a wide smile. But the most unforgettable line I always say back then was “unclemation” which was a twisted or baby talk for FYI. Anyway, it sounds like “for your information.” Duh!
